About Breeding Bird Count

The purpose of this count is to determine what species may be nesting in Shawnee County. Similar to the Christmas Bird Count, this activity will help evaluate local avian population trends. Wandering counts were conducted throughout the entire county. Below are the results of the Breeding Bird Surveys.
